Tool for DaVinci Resolve
Your voice only plays from one side. One click and it is fixed
Dual wireless mic kits record each transmitter to a different channel. If only one person talks, half the stereo pair is empty. In Resolve you fix that clip by clip — with fifty clips that is an afternoon. This does the whole timeline at once.

What it does
The same change you would make by hand, in bulk
Nothing exotic: it applies exactly the Clip Attributes setting you already know, only to every clip at once.
- 1
Pick the good channel
You choose whether the voice is on channel 1 or channel 2, and that channel then feeds both outputs. The result plays centred, from both sides.
- 2
Swap left and right
Flips the outputs in one go. Useful when you shoot with two mics and they got swapped halfway through.
- 3
Whole timeline or just some clips
Apply it to everything, or only to clips carrying a particular clip colour. That way you can treat one mic separately from the other.
- 4
It tells you what is wrong first
On opening it analyses the timeline and shows how many audio clips there are and how many play from one side only. You can also open a clip-by-clip report.
- 5
Your original edit is never touched
Every run creates a new timeline and opens it. Yours stays exactly as it was, so getting it wrong costs you nothing.
- 6
No re-encoding, no file changes
It touches no file on your disk. It only changes a setting inside the Resolve project — the same one you would change by hand.
What you get
Everything inside

How it works
Three steps and the timeline is fixed
-
Install
Unzip the whole archive into any folder and double-click INSTALAR.bat. Then open Resolve, or close and reopen it if it was already running.
-
Open it from the menu
With your timeline open, go to Workspace › Scripts › ResolvePacks - Canal Audio.
-
Pick the channel and apply
The window tells you how many clips play from one side only. Choose the channel that holds the voice, usually 1, leave "whole timeline" selected and press APLICAR.

Tool questions
What people ask me most
Does it modify my video files?
No. It touches no file on your disk and re-encodes nothing. It only changes a setting inside the Resolve project: exactly the one you would change by hand in Clip Attributes.
Why does it create a new timeline instead of fixing mine?
Because the Resolve API can read a clip’s channel mapping but cannot write it — that function does not exist. So the tool exports the timeline to Resolve’s native .drt format, rewrites the value there, and imports it back. A .drt can only be imported as a new timeline. The upside is that your original edit stays intact no matter what.
Do I lose cuts, transitions or grading?
No. Because it goes through Resolve’s native format, the round trip preserves cuts, transitions, labels, markers, grading and Fusion compositions. The report shows the clip count before and after so you can check at a glance.
What if I pick the wrong channel?
Nothing happens, and that is by design. Your original timeline is still there: go back to it and apply the other channel. Delete the wrong one from the Media Pool and that is that.
My timeline has clips from two different mics
You solve it in two passes using clip colour. First apply channel 1 to the whole timeline. Then, in the new timeline, select the other mic’s clips, give them a colour with right-click, and apply channel 2 to that colour only. Colour is used because Resolve does not let a script know which clips you have selected.
Can I avoid the problem in the first place?
Yes, and I will tell you even though it costs me a sale: if you fix the clips in the Media Pool before editing, you do not need any of this. Select them all there, right-click, Clip Attributes, and adjust in one go. What that dialogue will not do is update clips already cut into a timeline. That is what this tool is for.
